The biopsy they took the other week was inconclusive. They only found lung tissue. Originally in this scenario the onc wanted to now do a better biopsy under total anesthesia. But he won’t.
We haven’t done a CT scan for 3 months and he thinks it is worth it to wait with the second biopsy to see what the CT scan says. He has a feeling it might have shrunk and that all that has been showing up is scar tissue. I agree. Dr. Einhorn also said that we wouldn’t find anything.
The CT scan is planned for next week and the outcome will be know on Monday December 15th.
It all happened really fast today. Such a ‘big’ meeting which was over so quick. And has such a high impact. I dont know how I feel. But it really looks good as i have a bigger chance of not going back for more chemo and being home for x-mas. Watchful waiting might begin now.

This sounds really good, it has to be what they say, your horoscope looks really promising that way. The waiting is endless man, but of much better quality this time, it is just so amazing the amount of stuff they don’t know and they can’t find , bla bla bla so much for precise science, it all feels soft like butter…talking of which we really need to get together at your pleace for a major group cookout, where YOU finally deliver on the promised land of focaccia and home made pizza and the rest of the gang just take care of the side-dishes and booze

I know this waiting business has to be hard. You and Lori are handling it like the heros your are! Words cannot express how you both are admired and loved!
I agree with the above; sounds like good news. Theo was big, must have left scar tissue behind. So you are sort of waiting but definitely not in Dr. Seuss waiting room (ask Lori). x darina
well this is rather good news I think… but I know what the waiting is, but at least as we discussed last week, it’s good for yourself to feel that you have things a little bit more under control… with the possibility to ask for a 2nd opinion, etc…

Ik krijg de indruk dat dit goed nieuws is. En mooi dat het overeenkomt met de verwachting van Dr. Einhorn. Dat geeft weer positieve energie, en dat helpt weer met knokken….

Anticlimax gevoel na zo’n flitsgesprek over zoiets belangrijks kan ik me wel iets bij indenken. Wel fijn dat je 2nd opinion onderbouwt wat er nu gebeurt. Het klinkt zo logisch dat het littekenweefsel zou zijn… Ik hoop heel erg dat de 15de nieuws gaat komen dat je herboren 2009 kan ingaan met je lief!
