Last chemo bag
YES! I had my last chemo today. Now bit queasy but also very happy.
So now what?
First there is the medical bit. Friday they will do a CT scan and Wednesday the 10th I’ll hear if Theo is smaller or bigger then 3 centimeters ( ±1 inch). If he’s is smaller then 3 cm then there will be no more action. If he is bigger then 3 cm then a PET scan will follow.
With the PET scan the doctor’s will determine what to do: nothing, radiation therapy or Surgery. First off: the doctor expects Theo to be bigger then 3 centimeters which means I will need a PET scan. But what will happen then is unknown for now. Surgery won’t be a choice, the doctor said since he area is near my aorta and too dangerous.
I am focussing on the here and now for this part of the medical journey.
As for what to do in the mean time….
I am slowing but steadily getting ready to do more work stuff. The momo video’s were the first step for me. Next is SPRX and some conferences. With SPRX we just moved into an office less then a kilomter from my home. I will be attentding more meetings.
And as for the conferences, those will be Eday and Picnic, if I have the energy I will go to them. After that I am planning a week or 2 vacation in France with Lori.

High five on the completion of chemo! Fingers crossed that there will be good news Friday, but no matter what we know you’ll face the next part of your journey with courage and humor.
Have a fabulous vacation in France!
Dear Maarten & Lori,
Thinking of you always. Extra love & thoughts will be coming your way on Friday and Wednesday.
Spending time in France sounds like a perfect vacation get away.
Love & hugs,
Shirley & David
So glad for you both that this part is over. Fingers x-ed for the next stage.
Exciting times Lori and Maarten. In a week from now, there’s less uncertainty and that’s great.
But for now, take it easy and enjoy the moment.
Two weeks in France? That’s the way dudes.
